Obituary: Allen Perkowski, 44

Allen "was born with a wrench in his hand."

 

Allen Anthony Perkowski, age 44, entered into eternal rest Sunday January 13th at his home in Southbury.

Allen was born September 28th 1968 in Stamford where he resided until he relocated to Southbury in 1984. He is survived by his father Frank Bartholomew and his mother Arlene of Southbury; his daughter who is his pride and joy, Shaina Evanko of New Milford; his two sisters Christina Goggin and her husband Dennis of Wolcott and Noelle Bartholomew of Wilton; his nephews, Scott J Chmielewski and Dennis J Goggin III, of Wolcott and a Niece Kimberly A Chmielewski of Arizona. He was predeceased by his brother Jonathan Bartholomew of Oregon.

Allen was born with a wrench in his hand. He was mentored by his grandfather Joseph Jonosky whom he was very close to. They worked side by side around Stamford and later Southbury.

Allen graduated from Pomperaug High School in Southbury and went on to The Automotive Technical Institute where he received his ASE certification. Allen was a master mechanic for Amaral Motors in Newtown. He could fix just about anything. He was a caring and devoted friend who was always on call to help people out whether your car was stuck or you furnace went on the fritz. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
