Marilyn Pavia Imbimbo, 44, Mother of Two, Dies

Calling hours are on Monday and funeral will be on Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Church.

Marilyn Pavia Imbimbo, 44, of Newtown, died unexpectedly Oct. 19, 2011.

Born in Bridgeport on January 4, 1967, Imbimbo was a graduate of Immaculate High School and Sacred Heart University. She was a loyal and energetic employee of Steelcase for 13 years.

She is survived by her husband Ralph Imbimbo; two sons, John and Luca; parents John and Nella Pavia; sister, Luisa, and her husband Douglas, of Newtown; and nephew, Eric.

Her love of God and life touched the lives of many including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

She also held a special place in her heart for St. Rose School and Parish and St. Joseph High School in Trumbull where her two sons are enrolled.

Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Joseph High Marilyn Imbimbo Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2320 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull, CT  06611.
