In Memoriam: William McDonough, 69

A longtime Sandy Hook resident before moving to Vermont, he returned a few years ago.

 

William McDonough, age 69, of Newtown died unexpectedly April 18th at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 29, 1943 a son of the late Thomas and Mary (Devins) McDonough. Bill was the Business Manager for Local # 1 of the Theatrical Stage Handlers Union in New York City. He was a longtime resident of Sandy Hook before moving Brownsville, Vermont. He returned to Newtown a few years ago.

Mr. McDonough is survived by a brother, John D. McDonough of Ewing, NJ; 2 Step-daughters, Phyllis and Cara Blake of Vermont and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown Wednesday April 24th at 10:00am. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
