Rocco F. Colavito, 84, of Sandy Hook, CT and previously of Katonah, NY, died peacefully on August 29th.
Rocco was the husband of the late Marilyn (Patrick) Colavito who passed away in 1991 after 32 years of marriage. Rocco was born July 7, 1929 in the Bronx, NY. He served in the Army and later as a New York City Police Officer. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and taking trips to the Jersey Shore and Montauk.
He is survived by his son Francis (Frank) and his wife Karen; his daughter Valerie Fauver and her husband Chris; and three cherished grandchildren, Christie Ann, Alex and Aidan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 5th at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, CT Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
