Marion R. Haitsch, 91, of Newtown died on Tuesday, August 13th at Danbury Hospital. She was born April 6, 1922 in Danbury, daughter of the late John and Emelie (Prokopy) Haitsch.
Marion was a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. She was a church historian, Chairman of Greeters Committee and the first President of the Chancel Society.
Marion will be missed by several dear cousins, including Linda Prokopy,Nancy Purnell and Wayne Prokopy as well as her Goddaughter, Bonnie McClain.

She is predeceased by her sister Louise Hubbell and her cousin Eleanor Kaul.
A funeral service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 20th at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 85 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Newtown CT. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Danbury.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM at Christ the King Church on Tuesday, August 20th.
