In Memoriam: Betty Moro, 85, of Sandy Hook

Betty (Locascio) Moro, 85, of Sandy Hook, passed away peacefully on April 29th. She was the wife of the late Daniel Moro, whom she married on June 7, 1949.

Betty was born in Mamaroneck, NY on January 29, 1928, the daughter of the late Santo and Lucia (Romeo) Locascio. Mrs. Moro was a resident of Sandy Hook for over ten years and previously lived in Mamaroneck and Harrison, NY. Betty loved flowers, knickknacks and her faithful cat Benny. Most of all she loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, Daniel and Karen Moro of Harrison, NY and Gary and Deolinda Moro of Brookfield; her grandchildren, Andrea, Victor, Gregory and Jeffrey; and her loving sister and best friend, Helen (Locascio) Rizzaro, and many caring nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, James Locascio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday May 2nd at 11:00am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
