Callahan Remembered As a Loving Father and Husband

A funeral mass will be held Thursday for the Sandy Hook man who died in the car accident on Route 111.

 

Liam J. Callahan, age 42, of Sandy Hook died suddenly on Monday, September 10, 2012 in Monroe. He was born in Norwalk, the son of Kevin and Carmel (O’Sullivan) Callahan.

A retired Norwalk police officer, Liam worked for a security company and was co-owner of ‘The Angry Pepper’ in Monroe. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed cigars, hot sauce, and hiking with his family.

In addition to Laura, his loving wife of 12 years, he is survived by his son Ryan, age 8, brothers Owen Callahan and Brendan Callahan and his wife Susan, a sister Deirdre Denovalis and her husband Richard, mother and father-in-law Loreto and Michelina Piselli, sister-in-law Annalisa Breisler and her husband John, and brother-in-law Michael Piselli, as well as his nieces and his dog “Cooter”.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlin Pl, Norwalk. His family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Other services to be held privately.
