Community Corner

Loved Forever and Never Forgotten

This Christmas our hearts are heavier but our community is stronger. While the loss of a child is unbearable, we should celebrate the happiness and love that they shared during their short stay with us and continue to spread their messages far past the borders of Newtown to better our society. As difficult as it may be, if you wipe the tears from your eyes and look around, you will see that they are not gone. Twenty little beautiful angels continue to shine their warmth upon us all, sending us little subliminal messages throughout the day that everything will be alright. As for the teachers who lost their lives protecting the children of Sandy Hook, may they forever inspire us to be extraordinary individuals who place others before us in selfless acts of kindness. We love you, Newtown, and you will certainly continue to be in my thoughts this holiday season. My only wish this Christmas is that the communities of Sandy Hook, Connecticut and the world come together not to mourn the tragic loss of last December, but to celebrate all that is beautiful in the world including the memories of those precious children. Merry Christmas, Newtown, and may all the love in the world shine upon your beautiful healing community.

Love,
Connor
