A Note from the Artistic Director of Stray Kats Theatre Company, Newtown

Kate Katcher of Newtown's own Stray Kats Theatre Company

In these final days before we turn the page on 2012, you are probably being besieged by letters from non-profit organizations asking for your charitable donations. In these tumultuous days in Newtown, many funds have sprung up to collect money for the families, the arts, and more, all of them worthy. For those of you who love the theater and have enjoyed the activities at Stray Kats, I'm afraid I must add my voice to those requests.
Ours is a small non-profit organization seeking to bring something different to our community. Our mission is to present theatre that sheds light on the human condition; to challenge the viewer with new and thoughtful plays that stimulate dialogue as well as entertain. We believe that theater is more than a hobby and that professional actors have worked hard to describe themselves as "professional".
Now in our third season, the work becomes more challenging. It is time to move on from staged readings and invest our time in full productions. It is time to grow. To do that, we need your support. Buy tickets, tell friends, COME TO THE THEATER! And, if you can, please make a tax-deductible donation by visiting our website: http://www.straykatstheatrecompany.org/Tickets.html. The donation tab is at the bottom of the Tickets page.
You may also send a check to our office address: Stray Kats Theatre Company, 79 Far View Drive, Sandy Hook, CT 06482. A receipt will be sent for your taxes. Our FEIN is 27-2775147.
Thank you for your support,

Kate Katcher
