1214 Foundation Announces National Goodwill Ambassador

PLATINUM-SELLING SINGER-SONGWRITER AND AMERICAN IDOL WINNER SCOTTY McCREERY ANNOUNCED AS “NATIONAL GOODWILL AMBASSADOR” FOR THE 12.14 FOUNDATION.

Scotty McCreery became a "National Goodwill Ambassador" for 12.14 Foundation in February 2014. Scotty is internationally recognized as the winner of Season 10 of American Idol, and has since become one of the top artists on the country music landscape. He will play an active role in promoting the Foundation's arts programming, supporting their fundraising efforts, and creating awareness for their vision and objectives.

Scotty was in Newtown in December 2013 meeting Dr. Michael Baroody and other 12.14 leaders. After the meeting, Scotty joined Newtown families and children at Edmund Town Hall for refreshments, photographs and even a few holiday carols. See photos of Scotty's Newtown visit here.

As a goodwill ambassador, Scotty will make personal appearances on behalf of the Foundation and help build visibility for the Foundation's work to his fan base via social media and other public communications.
