C.L. Mulligan Skate Park

Local Newtowners want to honor Christopher Lee Mulligan in renaming Newtown Skate Park as C.L. Mulligan Skate Park.

On November 28, 2012 during night rush hour, Newtown lost an 18 year old due to a terrible car accident. Christopher Lee Mulligan, was born in Taegu, South Korea on February 5, 1994, he was the son of Brian and Laura DiDomenico Mulligan. He had attended Newtown High School. Christopher enjoyed skateboarding and could often be found at the Newtown Skateboard Park. He was an artist and creative writer. He held a Second Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and was looked up to by the youth he taught at the American Institute of Tae Kwon Do in Monroe. In addition to his parents, survivors include his family and many many friends.

There will be a meeting on January 8th 2012, at 6:00 pm in which I (Michael Trevail) will address this to the Recreation Council Board. If you would like to join, please email me at: miketrevail@icloud.com. I spoke to the Recreation Director on December 06, 2012 and she didnt have a problem with it but just like anything, it has to be presented to the Board.

There is an online petition and we need 100 signatures in order for this to happen. You must be a resident of Newtown/ Sandy Hook/ or Botsford. If it goes through, the Newtown Skate Park would be known as the C.L. Mulligan Skate Park. Lets do this in his honor!!
