Dear Newtown, "A Survey" for the fate of Sandy Hook Elementary School

"A Life-Giving Reflection Garden" on the Holy Grounds of SHS and a little understanding of where the idea is coming from. With all the ideas, maybe a survey can be drawn up...

Dear Newtown,

Greetings again!

With all the many ideas suggested to you, do you think a "SURVEY" written up with the ideas given could be composed by the town's officials?

That way everyone is given an amble part...young or old in the fate of Sandy Hook Elementary School. It's probably very important to consider first, the feelings and wishes of the victims' families and the suriving students of the school.

Another suggestion, with the "Life-Giving Reflection Garden" on the holy grounds of Sandy Hook Elementary School:

Using 26 State CT. White Oak Trees, representing the the 20 students and 6 educators planted in the formation of a circle and a ceramic bench permanently placed beside each individual white oak tree, the name is engraved along with the  picture of each victim. The white oak trees could be 'setted' just like in a roll call in a classroom...ABC order....so it will be easy to locate a particular reflecting tree area.

Maybe the school could be brought down, however you want it to, in efforts to move forward with the healing balms of comfort...and over the tragedy site a water pond of life...with gold fish and other marine life.

Somewhere near the entrance of the "Life-Giving Refection Garden":

A Marble "Little School House" built...with the name of the school on it and the name of each little victim and educator that passed that day, December 14, 2012. A statue of the principal at the door of the marble school...protecting her children! Abundant seasonal flowers, a walking bridge and playground equipment, as seen appropriate. Maybe even picnic tables around the center...where families can come together and fellowship with their lost one and support each other family that share the common ground. A water foundation placed in the middle of the pond...flowing and pumping continuous life with the gentle ripples of the sound of water.

I'm a retired Special Education teacher of all ages and levels with a degree in Educational Administration. Many many years ago I lost a student during PE class very suddenly due to medical reasons. I was standing right beside by student at that time. My assistant was in the gym as well as the PE instructor. It's was, as if it were yesterday...and unbelievable as it may seem, it was a bright sunny Friday and it happened soon after 9:30 in the morning. My student continues to live in heaven and my heart daily. I had and still have a very open communication with all my students' parents.

Wishing you peace and I have empathy and a little understanding of your tremendous cross.

Please be assured that you will never face your cross alone. The USA, still cares...we just need to give our gifts in anyway we can. Reaching out to bring good to this world, and trying and make it better. Being a teacher and working with Special Children since I was 15, was my greatest joy!

Striving to make a difference...if in just the littlest ways and never expecting anything in re-turn but just the joy, in doing what you feel called to do...

God Bless the children, families and community and you of CT!

Sincerely yours,

Mary!

To further support my support of Aurelia, the letter above states it was the New York Post thatRead More wanted the details. Good for you town clerk! I goggled the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information and they are indeed nothing more than a non-profit group. They are not a government agency. And an inept one - their own website is a mess. What clowns.- http://ctcouncilfoi.org/

Town Clerk Aurelia is already causing the town to needlessly spend money defending her derelictionRead More of duty: "An attorney representing the town, with the law firm Cohen and Wolf, issued an opinion in response to the, (New York), Post's request stating that the public is only allowed to view death and marriage certificates that are "at least one hundred years old." Cost aside she is pushing for a state law that would restrict access to a minors birth certificate for 6 months, she originally wanted them sealed for 10 years. The only thing the proposed law is going to accomplish is the healing that has been accomplished is going to be undone when the seal expires. This is much ado about nothing. http://www.newstimes.com/local/article/Newtown-officials-withhold-death-certificates-4526713.php

While I have no desire to view any of these death certificates, the law is the law. I have neverRead More viewed a death certificate, I doubt there is anything listed beyond the name of the decedent, dates of birth & death, parentage, and cause of death. Town Clerk Aurelia is clearly in violation of her oath of office. Her job is not to be administered based on feelings. In doing this she is opening the town up to F.O.I. violations, potential litigation, and fanning the flames of the crazy conspiracy theories. To quote the article, "we feel its an extreme invasion of privacy for these families." Should someone take this to F.O.I. or put it before a judge the town will lose. Do your job as required by statute.
