The Newtown we all know and love. The Newtown the rest of the world should see.

A short video I put together to show the world the real Newtown.

After the tragedy that occurred in my hometown on 12/14/12 I felt I needed to do something. Something to show the rest of the country how beautiful my hometown really is and how strong we are. This video I believe reflects that. I decided not to dwell on the events of that day but to show everyone the Newtown we all know and love.

We have lived here for only 5 years. We could have chosen anywhere in Fairfield county but after looking in Newtown and meeting the people that live here I only wanted to move to Newtown. I am so very proud that this is now my home, that my children will be raised here and I love the people here. God bless this town.

Seeing the happy times helps me remember the many wonderful times we experienced while living in Newtown. This is the way I want to remember this beautiful town, the wonderful people, the teachers who had such a profound impact on my sons and the ever beautiful flagpole. This IS how I remember Newtown. Thank you Chris, as always you are there for all the towns people!

Anyone looking for a way to help the families that were affected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary should consider attending the benefit dinner I am hosting along with some of my fellow Quinnipiac students. It will be on January 3, 2013 at 7:00pm at Woodwinds in Branford. All proceeds will go to Newtown Youth and Family Services to help the affected families cover the cost of grief counselling. More information and tickets can be found at www.hopeforsandyhook.com

There could not be a more beautiful or meaningful words to express our Newtown. God Blessed us with our town and children and we can not loose it because of this terrible assault. Our children, the angels we lost and the angles which remain, need the Newtown atmosphere as do many who have not experienced it.

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel no include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.
