2013's Newtown Beautiful Baby Photo Contest Kicks Off!

The child who's photo raises the most money rides in Newtown's Parade as "Beautiful Baby Winner" 100% of money raised goes to charity

If you have or know an adorable child, their photo can help raise thousands for charity!

The Newtown Beautiful Baby Photo Contest is a cute fundraiser that has raised thousands for our severely wounded military personnel.  I am a firm believer in “Charity begins at home”, so this year, all proceeds will remain in Newtown.  The $10 entry fees will go to The Newtown Police Benevolent Association, all votes gathered at the Sandy Hook Fire House Lobsterfest will be divided between The Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire House and The Newtown 1st Aid Squad, and all vote money and checks the booth collects at its two week run at Stop & Shop Supermarket will be donated to the My Sandy Hook Family Fund which directly supports the 26 families with financial help or any other needs they may have.

The child whose photo raises the most amount of money wins the title of “Beautiful Baby Winner” and Mercedes of Danbury will once again provide a chauffeur-driven luxury convertible for the baby and his or her family to ride in The Newtown Labor Day Parade, local papers will publish the winning child’s photo, and the winner will receive a Family Fun Prize Basket.

4” X 4” photos are placed on a wooden easel, with a piggy bank slit above each picture.  The public votes with dollars or checks for the cutest child.  As always, 100% of the money raised goes to charity.

The contest is open to all children newborn – 4 years of age and they need not live in Newtown.  To enter a photo for the contest, send a $10 check made payable to ‘Newtown PBA’ and a non-returnable 4” X 4” photo with the baby’s name, contact phone #, and email address written clearly on the back to:

Exactly why do you need to read these reports Elmer Davis? The cause of death was gunshot wounds.Read More Why do you need more than that, and why do you feel your curiosity for details outweigh the need for privacy? I agree with Aurelia and support her. You're acting like the Connecticut Council on Freedom is a government agency. It is a non-profit foundation and the quote from James Smith is only an opinion. It certainly does NOT carry any more weight than anyone else's, including mine, the victim's families, and the vast majority of decent people living in this town.
