Good morning to all my Bear Ambassadors!! Yes, I mean YOU the person behind your phone, computer, ipad, reading my blog. My second blog!! I would like to thank Newtown Patch for suggesting to start a blog on this wonderful cause and for posting it on their site and sharing it on Facebook. It was an idea that popped in my head on Saturday and from the idea, it has turned into a reality and I am so happy to share it with each and everyone of YOU. I received wonderful news when I woke up this morning and saw 2 e-mails from Build-A-Bear letting me know that the 200 Bears that I ordered on Monday have left the Bear Hospital and are on their way to NJ. That's the first stop. A friend of mine and some of her friends have 4 trucks that will transport these beautiful furry warm bears to the NewtownCommunity on Christmas Day. 26 of the Bears will be left at the Police Station or the Youth and Community Center and will be delivered to the victims families on a much later date. They need their privacy and their time to grieve. The rest of the bears will be given to each and every single child. We can't forget the children that survived this. They desperately need our help, our love to rebuild hope in their tiny little hearts. There are good people out there that want to help and I am so happy you are taking the time to read this. After the first blog, I received several e-mails from wonderful people from Newtown, New York State, Texas, everywhere to help! I have one woman and her cousin that will be making signs and one of them is going to dress up as Santa so that we have him with us as we are give free hugs and bears. I have another young lady that will be making goodies to wrap around the bears to make it extra sweet and special. I still can't believe it! If you could see me right now, I have the biggest smile of my face and I don't want to wipe it off ever!! It's a great feeling and I'm eternally grateful that I have more Bear Ambassadors with me which have become part of my family. I love you all so much!!! Christmas Day in Newtown will be the best Christmas ever!!! I have attached my first blog below. Thank you again!!!

Hi Everyone,
My name is Katherine Ciotti and I am a mother of a 2 year old and live in Edison,NJ. The tragedy that occurred at the Sandy Hook Elementary School inNewtown, CT has impacted me and the entire world. 20 innocent children were taken away from us and 6 heroic adults that protected the children until the end of their lives.
I have decided to spend Christmas Day with my family in Newtown, CT delivering bears to each person that was affected, young and old. Growing up as a child a stuffed animal or bear would bring me a lot of comfort and I would like to provide the same for those in CT. I contacted Build-A-Bear and purchased the bears with my own money yesterday and they will be delivered to my home just before Christmas. I am very fortunate to say that I have wonderful friends, family, colleagues, strangers that have donated to this cause to make this happen. I set up a Facebook Page and it has the current updated information. I have been in touch with The Newtown Police Department and they will be helping me with the location.
