Sources of Joy and Unconditional Love,
Of Laughter, and young Wonderment.
They are but Precious Memories,
Of distant Giggles,
Of Cartwheels and Silly Songs,
And Images of Sweet Smiles.
No more Goodbyes, High Fives or Tickle-Kisses,
No more Tuck-you-ins or Booboo fixes,
Only Hearts drained of all Hope,
Filled with everlasting Pain and Sorrow.
We will pray for their journey,
We will pray that in the Arms of the Angels,
They will look down upon you,
And give you the strength to survive.
