My Beautiful Town

A song from children of Newtown Recorded Dec 22, 2012

My Beautiful Town

Through this long winter night
we shall lift up this light
through the rain, snow, and tears
through this sorrow and fear
there's a path to be found
holy ground

There are signs along the way
there is music to be played
and the air we breathe in
this is where we begin
there's no map, but we are bound
on holy ground

Let the snow fall again
I'll be with you my friend
and though slowly comes the Spring
time will turn, and time will bring
bring us all, all around,
holy ground
my beautiful town
my beautiful town

Hi Jim, Was it you that my daughter and I met in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot today? Thank you for passing along the gift of your beautiful song. My daughter Kathryn learned the special power of a smile. Thank you so much, we were very touched by the kind gesture (hope it was you!). Diane and Kathryn
