Big bats prove the difference in two come from behind games.

Newtown Renegades 17, Fairfield 2
The Renegades hosted and won their first home game in 84 League play on Thursday at Sandy Hook School. Dillon Robinson, Will Swift and Shaine Luzietti took to the mound, keeping the hitters from Fairfield off balance all night. The Renegades hurlers held the visitors to 2 hits and 2 runs over 5 innings.  Offensively, the entire Renegades line-up contributed, with the team scoring 4 runs in the 1st inning, another 5 in the 3rd inning and finishing with an 8 run 4th inning.

Newtown Renegades 9, Danbury 8
The Newtown Renegades faced off against Danbury in 84 League play on Saturday at Sandy Hook School. Down 8-4 in the bottom of the 6th inning, the Renegades came to the plate ready to mount a comeback. With no outs and the tying run on 3rd base, Will Swift hit a hard ground ball to score Shaine Luzietti. Dillon Robinson came to bat and knocked a single to right field over the first base bag bringing in Matt Bradbury for the win.

Newtown Renegades 13, Norwalk 13
The Newtown Renegades took on Norwalk in 84 League play on Sunday at Sandy Hook School. Down 12-2 in the 4th inning, the Renegades mounted yet another come back scoring 5 runs.  In the top of the 5th inning, Norwalk tacked on another run to take the score to13-7. The Renegades stormed back, scoring 6 runs in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at 13 apiece. Due to the game time limit rule, that’s how the story ended. Joey Rios, Connor Haywood and Matthew Bradbury each tripled in the inning, while Haywood brought in 5 RBIs on the day for the Renegades.
