For the Newtown Parents
A poem to provide peace and love for parents who have lost their precious children. We love you Newtown!!!
Always too soon when a child rests with the stars. One moment they are here and the next, away so far.
Now the twinkle you saw everyday in their eyes, shines on you brightly, lighting the night sky.
Their breath that spoke “I love you” when you gave them a squeeze, will now flow through you when you see the wind through the trees.
Their spirit so joyful and loving to please, will resonate with you all, as a comforting memory.
Their laughter always filled the room with such beautiful noise and will continue to do so through your smile and your voice.
The tears that would flow down their cheeks when they were sad, have moved to those who remain, as knowing them made all glad.
So as the questions continue “how could this be," know that they are part of our air, our earth and our sea.
Just as God made all these living things, his plan for them is something we cannot see.
For now they are Heaven’s newest additions, angels they are, watching over you, their mission.
Forever they will be shining brightly down on all of you. Their spirit, laughter and breath whispering always….”I love you.”

I originally wrote this for a friend who's daughter was taken from us too soon. I thought I should share it with you all. Her name was Katherine and the poem is called "She Whispers"."
