This past Monday NHS Girl's Varsity Tennis played New Milford on the high school backcourts. The match was interesting. In past years they have been a more difficult team to beat. My freshman year the first singles match went for hours. This year the matches were competitive but Newtown was on their A-game. The team won all seven sets giving up very few games if any!
The girls are very excited about this win! They maintain a 7-0 record. So with all this winning (knock on wood), it called for some celebrating. On Wednesday the girls went to the Sycamore in Bethel, which is a team tradition. The coaches and players go there after the Immaculate High School or Bethel match. Everyone enjoys all the delicious food especially the milkshakes and burgers.
Stay tuned for updates on the Immaculate and New Fairfield matches!
