Rosenthal to be Honored at Jefferson Jackson Bailey Dinner

The Newtown Democratic Town Committee's 2nd annual Jefferson Jackson Bailey Dinner is on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. to honor and pay tribute to Herb Rosenthal, our former first selectman. 

The dinner will be held at the Alexandria Room, , 45 Main Street, beginning at 6:30pm and will be attended by our statewide elected officials and many candidates for state and local office. 

If you are interested in attending the dinner, please contact James Juliano at 203.426.0065 or Jan Brookes at 203.426.9889 to make a reservation. Tickets are $60 per person.

Town Clerk Aurelia is already causing the town to needlessly spend money defending her dereliction…Read More of duty: "An attorney representing the town, with the law firm Cohen and Wolf, issued an opinion in response to the, (New York), Post's request stating that the public is only allowed to view death and marriage certificates that are "at least one hundred years old." Cost aside she is pushing for a state law that would restrict access to a minors birth certificate for 6 months, she originally wanted them sealed for 10 years. The only thing the proposed law is going to accomplish is the healing that has been accomplished is going to be undone when the seal expires.
