Extreme Fitness Martial Arts is teaming up with the Jericho Partnership to lend a helping hand to the wider Danbury community by running a food drive from February 13 to March 3, 2012.

The goal is to collect at least 150lbs of non-perishable food items by the time Extreme Fitness Martial Arts celebrates its first anniversary of bringing its unique and diverse mix of fitness and martial arts to Newtown.

Donations can be dropped off at Extreme Fitness Martial Arts anytime between 10am-8pm Monday to Friday, and Saturdays between 9am-1pm.

“This food drive is one of the many ways we intend to give back to the communities that our students come from,” said Russ Moore, owner and school Master at Extreme Fitness Martial Arts. “More so now than ever people are realizing that hunger is an issue in every town.  We’re helping support families in need, especially after the busy holiday season.”

The Jericho Partnership is a nonprofit organization that provides services to support the youth, homeless and other at-risk populations in Danbury.

Extreme Fitness Martial Arts is a place where children and adults can learn multiple forms of martial arts to change their lives physically, mentally and spiritually.  Students may join for fitness but will transform into martial artists!  For more information go to ExtremeFitnessMartialArts.com or visit them at 266 South Main Street, Newtown.
