Community Corner
Worship, Music and Prayer
Faith and hope will surely arise on the Sandy Hook Firehouse
grounds Sunday, October 13, due to an event that’s part of a state-wide
Christian interdenominational “40 Days of Worship” taking place 3:00 to 5:00
p.m. there that day. The gathering will include a time of praying for schools,
students, and local officials. It will be interspersed with live, uplifting
music – including some specifically for children. Prayer servants will be
available for anyone who would like individual prayer. The event is being
coordinated by a local, multi-church, team.
More than 100 churches and ministries are participating and coming
together in their communities across the state from September 4 through October
14 to worship and pray, and be unified. The emphasis at each gathering is worshiping Jesus and asking God to move in our town and state.
The Sandy Hook Firehouse is located at 18 Riverside Road in Sandy
Hook. The event will take place rain or shine, and is free and
open to all. For more information, visit www.impactconnecticut.com
