Newtown Tag-A-Gift Holiday Program

The need to spread holiday cheer to the less fortunate is greater than ever. In response, The Newtown Junior Women’s club has launched its annual Tag-a-Gift Program.

The Newtown Junior Women’s Club coordinates the collection & wrapping of holiday gifts for Newtown children in need.  This program is in support of The Newtown Fund’s annual gift/food drive.

"Giving Trees/Wreaths” with wishes on tags are set up in several town locations.  Residents are encouraged to take a tag, purchase the wished-for item and return the unwrapped gift with tag information attached to the collection bin at the same location they got the tag.

Tags can be picked up at Union Savings Bank - Church Hill Road, Newtown Savings Bank - Main Street, Wesley Learning Center - Church Hill Road, Savings Bank of Danbury- Church Hill Road and Edmond Town Hall.

We’d like thank Troop 50293 and their troop leaders, Heather Smith, Jenn Burns, and Nicole Friedrich for donating the lovely tag ornaments.  Please keep the ornament as our gift to you.

Time is of the essence…the unwrapped gifts must be returned to the decorated collection box at the same location no later than December 9th.

The public is welcome to join Newtown Junior Women’s Club volunteers wrapping gifts at the Newtown Meeting House on Dec 12 at 7pm.  The Newtown Fund will include these gifts with their deliveries on Saturday, December 14.
We THANK YOU in advance for your generous donations.  If you have any questions please contact Meri at 203-270-3767 or visit our website atwww.newtownjuniorwomen.com
