Lenten Supper and Study

Wednesday nights during
Lent, you are invited to a light Supper and Lenten Study at Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church, 466 Elm Street, Monroe and St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 175
Old Tannery Road, Monroe. We alternate locations each week. So on March 12 it is
at Good Shepherd, March 19 at St. Peter's, March 26 at Good Shepherd, April 2
at St. Peter's and April 9 at Good Shepherd. Call 203-268-7596 if you have any
questions.

Our theme is
"Understanding the Cross more deeply". Why did Jesus die on the
cross? Was that God's idea? If so, what kind of God is God? How does Jesus
save us by the cross? What does that mean? Is there a history of more than one
idea about all this? In fact, there are many as well as many questions about
all this. Doubts and confusions are welcome! No prior knowledge is necessary!
No biblical experts need apply! Please join us!
