Happy Hour & Silent Auction Fundraiser for the Hartford Walk4Hearing

On Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, the Hartford Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) will raise funds at its 2014 Happy Hour and Silent Auction at MAX DOWNTOWN in Downtown Hartford.  For the third consecutive year, the restaurant has donated the food and provided the venue to support the Hartford Walk4Hearing event which will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Great River Park in East Hartford, CT.

Connecticut volunteers, supporters, colleagues and friends are invited to an evening of festivities and a chance to bid on over 60 silent auction items.  The Happy Hour food and bar will be in MAX DOWNTOWN’s Blue Room, and the silent auction will be held nearby in the City Place atrium.  For more details on the fundraiser, please contact Suzanne D’Amico at (347) 731-1883.

The Hartford Walk4Hearing raises awareness of the challenges facing 48 million Americans with hearing loss and their families.  The Walk provides education about hearing loss, helps erase the stigma associated with it, and raises funds for programs and services.  The Walk will take place on Saturday, May 31st in Great River Park, 301 East River Drive, East Hartford, CT and follows a 5k (3.1-mile) route. The Hartford Walk4Hearing is one of 21 events happening across the nation this year. For more information and to pre-register for the Hartford Walk4Hearing, visit www.walk4hearing.org.
