NOTE: The Historical Society needs to cancel our regular open house hours on Sunday because there is too much snow and too little parking space.
Changing displays representing the history of a rural New England town once dotted with farms and small mills. Current exhibits include vintage photographs of winter life in Oxford and a collection of artifacts which Michael, Danny and Joey Bawlick uncovered in Oxford yards and fields, using metal detectors, all housed in a newly restored 1755 saltbox. On Sunday, February 17, Dorothy DeBisschop will also display photographs from the historic blizzard of 2013. The public is invited to e-mail Mrs. DeBisschop their digital pictures at email@example.com . Those using film-based cameras are invited to bring their photos of the storm to the museum for scanning, so that they also may be preserved.
