A canine costume party to benefit Friends of Newtown Park and Bark, Newtown's off-leash dog park, will be held on the campus of Fairfield Hills on Keating Farms Ave. Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Scariest Costume, Funniest Costume, Cutest Costume, Most Original Costume and Owner Look-Alike.
This fun family event, sponsored by Newtown Parks and Recreation, also offers activities such as a relay race, treasure hunt, and bobbing for hot dogs, as well as awards for Best Singer/Howler, Best Trick and Tic-Tac-Paw.
Refreshments for dogs and their people will be available. Fee is a $5 tax-deductible donation per dog.
