NEWTOWN HISTORICAL SOCIETY PRESENTS: This Old Cemetery

Please join us on Monday, Jan 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Newtown Meeting House.  Dan Cruson, our town historian, will lecture on the cemeteries of Newtown.  He will focus on the oldest one: the Village Cemetery.  His presentation will concentrate on the various headstone styles to be found in the oldest part of that cemetery showing how these motifs reflected the colonial and early American mind set.  Please note the change in venue (Newtown Meeting House and not the Booth Library) this year in order to accommodate the large audiences that are expected.
