Al all-day music event on Saturday, February 16, 2013 ~ Mending with Music

Heal your heart, soul and mind with the power and beauty of music. A day of music, healing and workshops will be offered by our local, talented and trained professionals to help bring the community comfort and peace. $10 suggested donation per person will be accepted to help cover overhead costs for our healing arts center.

Raffle tickets for a free guitar from Route 7 Music will be sold.

Schedule of Events:

1:30-2:15 p.m. Sing & sign with Ms. Janine, children's entertainer, geared towards children ages 1-10 years old

2:15-4:00 p.m. Ukulele Music & Workshop with Michel Rae Driscoll, come listen and learn the ukulele in a family setting with Michel as she walks you through the easy steps to learn how to play the ukulele! Michel will have 4-5 ukuleles on hand for all to try. Children & families of all ages and abilities are welcome.

4-5:30pm. “Finding My Voice” Workshop with Beth Patella, Vocalist/Singing Teacher leads this exploration of the therapeutic modality of Sound Healing to expand inner & outer voice. Includes breathing, meditation, chant & rudimentary singing to access & activate energy points (chakras) in the body & reclaim optimal energy. Adults only please.


6-8:00pm Live acoustic music - artist to be announced soon!

I goggled the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information and they are indeed nothing more than a non-profit group. They are not a government agency. And an inept one - their own website is a mess. Town Clerk Aurelia is already causing the town to needlessly spend money defending her derelictionRead More of duty: "An attorney representing the town, with the law firm Cohen and Wolf, issued an opinion in response to the, (New York), Post's request stating that the public is only allowed to view death and marriage certificates that are "at least one hundred years old." Cost aside she is pushing for a state law that would restrict access to a minors birth certificate for 6 months, she originally wanted them sealed for 10 years. The only thing the proposed law is going to accomplish is the healing that has been accomplished is going to be undone when the seal expires.
