SOLD OUT: Harlem Wizards Basketball Game with Newtown Teachers

SORRY- ALL 1200 complimentary tickets for this game have been given out in Newtown CT as of 1/17/13.  

The Harlem Wizards will play a trick basketball game against a team of teachers and principals from Newtown, CT on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 6PM at Newtown High School. The game will be filled with tricks, hoops and alley oops, as the Harlem Wizards display their talents against a team of local teachers named “ Newtown Strong”.

Organizer Bret Nichols, a school counselor at Newtown High School says “This is an opportunity
to bring our community together for an evening of laughter and fun.” The game includes an audience participation half time show and an autograph session with the players at the end of the game.

All tickets to this game are free,. They are available to Sandy Hook School families until Wednesday, January 16,
2013, then all complimentary tickets left will be made available to the Newtown community at Newtown High School from 11am-1:30pm and 2:30pm-5:00pm on the
17th and 18th on a first come first served basis.

This event is being coordinated by Bret Nichols, School Counselor at Newtown High School, with the support of Superintendant Janet Robinson.

The Harlem Wizards are a professional entertainment basketball team. They have toured the world with a team comprised of players with illustrious college and professional basketball
