Find out what's happening in Newtownwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Whether you've never written a word outside of assignments for school, or you're an accomplished writer, you're invited to join Reggie Marra for an exploration of you through the practice of writing from the heart. We will create a safe space and engage simple methods within which you can get your feelings onto the page. Absolutely no previous writing experience is required, and while you will be invited to share what you write, sharing is always voluntary. Come explore your inner poet!

Following our work with "Self-Acceptance and Self-Compassion" in March, we will focus our thematic attention on, gulp, Love, and while not ignoring the ever-intriguing notions of romantic love, our intention will be to zero in on a bigger picture that embraces love of self, other, and the world at large.

Our point of departure will be three brief, late-20th-century depictions of love that appeared in M. Scott Peck's The Road Less Traveled, Br. David Steindl-Rast's Gratefulness: The Heart of Prayer, and A Course in Miracles. You'll have to attend to find out what they are!
