The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern
Connecticut Foundation will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at 127 South Main Street in Newtown.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation and how to get involved. Guests are also invited to take part in a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Pat Llodra, Newtown’s First Selectman. Drinks and appetizers will be available.
The location on route 25 opened in March as a drop off location for gently used clothing and household items. "The response at this location has been amazing, both in how welcoming Newtown has been and in the amount of donations we have collected since opening the location. We hope to be a long-time member of the community," says Operations Manager, Ken Kuntz.
The event is free to attend and open to anyone. Please RSVP to Alice Baye at 203-426-2695 or chamber@newtown-ct.com.
