We made our decision to move to Newtown based on the excellence of the school system. I believe the quality of the schools in Newtown directly impacts our children’s success as well as our property values. I will work to ensure that the policies and procedures of the Board support the high standards that will uphold that reputation. Fiscal responsibility is required to balance the needs of the school system and the needs of the community. The Board of Education must scrutinize each section of the budget to provide the best value for our taxpayers.
