Candidates Making Final Campaign Push For Your Vote

Those friendly faces greeting you at the entrance to polling places in town are the candidates and their volunteers.

This morning outside Reed you'd see Mary Ann Jacob, a Republican running for re-election to the Legislative Council. Her golden retriever, Dennis, was keeping her company -- and her feet warm.

Just before 10 a.m. Jacob was joined by Ryan Knapp, a fellow Republican who is also seeking re-election to the Legislative Council.

Nearby, Ann LeBosco Benore held a campaign sign. The Democrat is promising to "Restore Balance" to the Town Clerk's office. Benore was with Maureen Owen, the DTC campaign manager. She was holding a sign in support of Democrat Lisa Romano's campaign for a seat on the Legislative Council.

Owen said the DTC made a big push this past weekend and yesterday, going door-to-door and making more than 1,000 phone calls. That effort was led by Sharon Kish.
