Two Women Charged in Newtown Retail Larceny

Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of what police allege.

On Sept. 7 at approximately 11:23 a.m. the Newtown Police Department responded to a report of larceny at Olympia Sports, 228 South Main St. Witnesses provided details of the suspects and a patrol officer saw that the two suspects were traveling on Toddy Road.  Following an investigation the following arrests were made:

Theresa James, 45, Old Mill Rd, Danbury, was charged with larceny 6th, and tampering with evidence.

Jessica Kunz of 50 Wooster Heights was also charged with larceny 6th, tampering with evidence and littering. Both suspects were released on $500 bonds with a Sept. 20 court date at Danbury Superior court.
