Lost Dog Last Seen on Bennet's Bridge Road [Updated]

Have you seen Wrinkles, a Dachsund-Pug mix?

Update as of 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 20

A quick update. A Patch reader saw Wrinkles this morning running along Bennet's Bridge Road this morning. He pursued her a bit until she ran under a fence onto private property. He did not know Wrinkles was lost until he went up onto Patch and saw the post this afternoon.

Please call 203.470.3736 immediately if you happen to see Wrinkles.

Thank you!

The original post follows:

Please spread the word about our beautiful missing dog, Wrinkles.

Wrinkles is a two year old Dachsund Pug mix, very timid. She weighs about 20 lbs and is fawn (light brown) in color.  She broke loose from our dog sitter in the Cedarhust community on Lake Zoar.

Wrinkles has been missing since noon Thursday and we have been searching the area for her since.  Many of the residents have been extremely helpful in searching their yards and helping to try and locate her.  Unfortunately thus far we have not been able to find her.

I fear that she will hide from people and other animals and only come out of hiding when she believes no one is around to seek food or water.  She got free wearing a red leash, pink collar, vaccination and Newtown registration tags.

If residents in the area of Lakeview Terrace, Algonquin Trail, Mohawk Trail and Spring Trail could look around their homes, under boats or canoes or possible hiding places for a small dog, we would be very appreciative.

Anyone who sees a dog matching her description should call me ASAP at 203.470.3736.  She is not dangerous and would not bite.  My fear is in trying to capture her she goes further into hiding.  Attached is a poster I've put on telephone poles in the community.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Sam. We were just over there hoping for a miracle. Perhaps you have better luck. She must be hunkered down in bushes our hiding under something. Lots of places to hide.

So are we. She is a little fighter, I figure at this rate, she'll make it back home by Halloween!

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel no include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.

I'm o n Butterfield. No sightings here. Any specifics as to her location?
Carol Chapman June 19, 2013 at 09:23 am
Norma has been spotted this morning at the intersection of Kenan and Currituck. The red leash isRead More still attached. She was trying to eat a dead squirrel on Currituck. Very skittish, but still in the neighborhood (yay). Please watch for her. My husband and sister-in-law (who first spotted her on Currituck this morning) were unable to get near her. She's in the woods, heading toward Butterfield. Her foster mom is on the scene now. Folks in the neighborhood, please watch for her and call 203-942-4008 if you see her.

Carolee Mason (Newtown's Animal Control Officer) is watching her from her car at the moment, armedRead More with catfood to tempt her closer. The foster mom is on her way there again, this time with chicken, and Laura is on her way with hamburger. Problem is, this dog is VERY shy, skittish and quick to run away.
