As a student at Newtown High School, who experienced K-4th grade at Sandy Hook Elementary, the recent shooting has impacted me rather harshly. I have desperately been trying to figure out something to do in dedication of the 26 lives lost in the halls of Sandy Hook Elementary. So I decided to put together all the footage every news crew has gathered while wandering around our town, to pay tribute to our friends, our neighbors, and our families. I hope it brings some sort of hope and healing to everyone, and that it makes it easier to understand that this tragedy actually happened.
To the people not from our town, this is how we feel. This represents the full array of emotions that we have been trying to deal with. I want the world to see that this isn't just news or a fatality count, this is a emotional roller coaster that has butterflies in every one of our stomachs here in Newtown, CT.
Thank you for your constant support,
Danny Bittman, 17, Newtown High School Senior
