Newtown's 26 - A Tribute Video For Those Lost

My name is Danny Bittman, and I am a senior at Newtown High School. I needed to to make some sort of dedication to the students and teachers lost, so I put together this tribute video.

As a student at Newtown High School, who experienced K-4th grade at Sandy Hook Elementary, the recent shooting has impacted me rather harshly. I have desperately been trying to figure out something to do in dedication of the 26 lives lost in the halls of Sandy Hook Elementary. So I decided to put together all the footage every news crew has gathered while wandering around our town, to pay tribute to our friends, our neighbors, and our families. I hope it brings some sort of hope and healing to everyone, and that it makes it easier to understand that this tragedy actually happened.

To the people not from our town, this is how we feel. This represents the full array of emotions that we have been trying to deal with. I want the world to see that this isn't just news or a fatality count, this is a emotional roller coaster that has butterflies in every one of our stomachs here in Newtown, CT.
Thank you for your constant support,
Danny Bittman, 17, Newtown High School Senior

Danny, I live in a small town in Florida and I too treasure a wonderful spirit of community that we enjoy. My heart aches for the families, friends, and neighbors of those in your town who are gone and gone much too soon. May the spirit of 20 innocent children and 6 courageous adults guide all who view your video on a journey of transformation. May we learn from Newtown what it truly means to "Love thy neighbor as thyself." God bless you all.

This is so beautiful! Love and light prevail over darkness and clouds. Strong is the Newtown community who wil rise up and love again. For all of us, let's be sure to be kind to one another. Newtown will become a new town.

That was beautiful. Although I'm not sure that's a word that fits with something so horrific that you so thoughtfully documented here. I work for a small town in Illinois and please know not a day has gone by since Friday that we here at City Hall haven't grieved, cried and prayed for your community. And I can't begin to describe how many of us are moved to join the fight to prevent this from happening again.

You did a wonderful job of honoring those that died. May God in His infinite wisdom give you His peace and comfort during this time of grief.
