Do you backup your computer?

Hard drives fail. Yes, even YOUR hard drive can fail! Not to mention other personal disasters like a fire or burglaries can occur. How will you preserve your important digital data?

2013 is almost a month old. What have you done to safe guard your digital photo's, music and important documents? Do you have a backup system or, like many, do you still transfer to a USB or CD when you think of it?

Hard drives fail. Yes, even YOUR hard drive can fail! Not to mention other personal disasters like a fire or burglaries can occur. How will you preserve your important digital data?

One solution is to attach an external hard drive and set your operating system to perform regular backups. This is quick and easy and will offer a simple level of security for your files.

Another solution is to have an off-site backup, a "cloud" backup. This is a more secure way to preserve your data. Most involve a monthly charge for the service, but it is a small price to pay for WHEN your computer crashes. The cost for trying to recover digital information from a non-functioning hard drive can cost thousands of dollars!
