Brautigam Land Surveyors, a full service land surveying firm, attributes much of its success to the decades of unwavering support given by Newtown and the surrounding community and celebrates its 25th Anniversary with them.

The 10 year mark for any entrepreneur is often daunting and difficult to bring to fruition, let alone 25 years of quality service. For Brautigam Land Surveyors, making it over the 10 year mark was the first major milestone to achieve. The company largely attributes the success of its business, in its first few years, to the word of mouth referrals received from local customers. As time passed and the business grew, Brautigam was able to set more company goals, which included establishing a quality-driven staff and owning its own office. Mr. Paul Brautigam, who established and continues to run the company to this day, remarks, “The first 10 years was a more difficult goal. 25 years kind of crept up on me. Time flies when you’re having fun!”

In 1989, Mr. Brautigam made the decision to open his own land surveying company within the close-knit town of Newtown. His reasoning behind such a bold and risky move was two-fold. First, he was looking for a community to bring up a family which had good schools and the potential for growing a small business. Newtown met and exceeded those dreams. Second, as a lifelong resident of Connecticut with extensive knowledge of Fairfield County in the land surveying field, Mr. Brautigam strived to develop a company which could not only complete their projects efficiently, but would also do so with the finesse of customer service needed for  this large extended community. In hindsight of these successful years, with over 1300 properties surveyed in Newtown alone, Brautigam Land Surveyors owes many of their accomplishments to the embracing nature of the town’s community towards its company.

Since it was established, Brautigam Land Surveyors has surveyed over 2800 properties within the Fairfield, New Haven and Litchfield Counties. Mr. Brautigam hopes that within the next 15 years, his business will continue to thrive within the Newtown community and is given the opportunity to survey another 1300 properties.
