Usually in this Traveling Plate column, Patch highlights a whole meal and asks readers to guess where it was served. However, this pie was so stellar that it can stand on its own. Plus just showing dessert makes it harder to guess correctly.
I can say that this Newtown restaurant is one of my favorites for lunch and that I had never ordered dessert until last week. Now I will look at the dessert menu first and plan my entree accordingly.
The decadent pie had a delicious crispy chocolate crust with a creamy filling flavored with a hint of hazelnuts. The caramel drizzle added just the right note of sweetness.
