Newtown resident Donald Morrissey has reason to celebrate — he's been named "CFO of the Year" for Fairfield County.
The Aquarion Water Company Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer was selected from among 14 finalists representing small, medium and large companies across Fairfield County at this year's CFO of the Year awards.
"For nearly 20 years, Aquarion and its customers have been the beneficiaries of Don’s outstanding talents," said Aquarion President and CEO Charles Firlotte. "His expertise in financial strategy and business development have helped grow and strengthen the company. We congratulate him on being named CFO of the Year."
Morrissey joined Aquarion in 1995 and has also served as Controller and Vice President of Finance. He oversees Aquarion's financial management, financial and strategic planning and risk management. He also acts as an advocate for water conservation policies in the industry, Aquarion said in a release.
