Then the Newtown Parks & Recreation Department may have a job for you. The department is hiring a full-time maintainer, a person who will be responsible for all the equipment.
That includes tractors, mowers, trucks and other machinery used in the building, repair and maintenance of properties under the Parks & Recreation Commission. It is preferred that the successful candidate have a CDL.
Requirements include a high school diploma, strong mechanical background, basic knowledge of horticulture/landscaping, plumbing and carpentry. Prior experience maintaining turf, grass or athletic fields is preferred, too.
