Tuesday's Summer Jam Concert is at Hawley School Due to Rain

Newtown Parks and Recreation announced that Tuesday's Summer Jam Concert will be held at Hawley Elelmentary School instead of Dickinson Town Park due to predicted rain in the forecast.

Tuesday's indoor concert will be held at the Hawley Elementary School gym, 29 Church Hill Rd, Newtown, CT. The children's musician set to perform is Amy Rogell who will begin her fun-filled set at 12:30 p.m.

Because of the change in venue, guests are asked to limit beverages to water only and no food is allowed. Bring bring a blanket instead of chairs for seating.

The Summer Jam Concert Series is sponsored by Claris Construction Inc. The schedule for this year’s series continues next week at the Dickinson Band Shell, weather permitting, with:
  • Bari Koral Family Rock Band on July 22
  • Alastair Moock on July 29
  • Zak Morgan on August 5

For the outdoor concerts at Dickinson Town Park, families are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating, as well as picnic lunches and snacks.

For additional information, call the Newtown Parks and Recreation Department at 203-270-4340.
