Lunch-time playreading series set to end its first Newtown season with April performance

The inaugural season of Play With Your Food, a playreading series that started in lower Fairfield County eight years ago and made its debut in Newtown late last year, comes to an end in a couple of weeks with a performance called "Rites of the Spring."

The lunchtime performance, which is presented by the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, is scheduled for April 8 at Edmond Town Hall.

Double Eagle Deli & Grill will provide a catered buffet lunch from 12 to 12:30 p.m. with a reading of three short plays and later, a brief discussion with the actors. The program should end at 1:30 p.m.
