Joseph Wins 2 Coveted High School Musical Awards

The Newtown High School choral program won two awards during Monday night's Connecticut High School Musical Awards ceremony.

Newtown High School has won two Connecticut High School Music Theater awards for Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. 

First year Newtown High School choral director Jane Matson and Brian White won for Outstanding Musical Direction.

The Outstanding Featured Ensemble Group award also went to Brenna Calderara, Katie Cummings, Katie McMorran, the narrators for the show.

The awards confirmed the widespread . In fact, the production reportedly grossed record high sales for the venue, Principal Chip Dumais has said.
