The Monroe Historical Society is planning a tour of five beautiful gardens on Saturday, June 11th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. (raindate June 12th). Each garden is unique and will provide visitors with great ideas to personalize their own gardens. We have two artists who create garden sculptures participating: Joe DeMarco of Shelton and Philip Levine of Stratford. Their creations add an additional dimension to two of these hidden gardens in Monroe.
Light refreshments will be at each venue. Tickets are available at the Monroe Library, Monroe Town Clerk’s office, Country Hearts on Route 25 and Sunshine Nursery on Monroe Turnpike. Tickets will also be available the day of the tour at the Beardsley Homestead, 31 Great Ring Road, Monroe. Tickets are $15.
