Voices Café, Fairfield County’s newest emerging and very successful acoustic music venue, presents Exit 43!
Exit 43 performs a blend of contemporary acoustic folk/rock/gospel/spiritual music. It’s Crosby, Stills & Nash meets James Taylor meets Sweet Honey in the Rock – music that touches your soul, warms your heart, and keeps your feet tapping.
Ticket prices are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Voices Café has Played to sold-out houses for the previous concerts so call early to secure your tickets.
The quartet includes the high-powered musical talents of A.J. “Andy” Gundell, Suzanne Sheridan, Edward Thompson, and Scarlett Lee Moore.
As individual performers, the foursome have all excelled in their respective fields. Scarlett Lee Moore has twice been voted Fairfield County Connecticut’s Best Blues Performer and has two CD releases. Andy “AJ” Gundell (vocals, guitars, harmonica) has been a professional musician for his entire career and has 13 Emmy awards for his successes in television as a songwriter, singer, composer and music supervisor. He has collaborated with Grammy Award-winner Julie Gold and comedian Bill Cosby. Suzanne Sheridan (vocals, guitar) is a singer-songwriter/guitarist who connects with people through her music. Her Joni Mitchell/Leonard Cohen tribute concert has been performed from Canada to Australia. She has won honors in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and was an award-winning jingle singer. Ed Thompson (piano and keyboard) is a classically trained keyboard player and choral conductor and currently music director at the Unitarian Church in Westport where he has developed an extensive music program that mirrors a wide variety of styles and genres. He is active as a coach, accompanist, arranger, composer, conductor and teacher and appeared three times at Carnegie Hall and has performed at other venues in the United States and Sweden.
