The First Annual Center for Women & Families Lariat Fundraiser

The Center for Women and Families of Greater Bridgeport and A Bead of Roses have teamed up to help stop domestic violence in our community.

Mark your calendars now to attend the first annual Lariat Fundraising event hosted at A Bead of Roses in Newtown, CT.

Support this worthy cause by either making your own lariat or purchase one that will be custom made for you the night of the event.

Ticket Options:

• $80.00 Package:  Make your own Lariat and enjoy cocktails and appetizers while networking with friends from all over the state. A generous donation goes to CWF from the ticket price. 

• $140.00 Package:  Purchase a customized Lariat that will be fitted for you personally by a member of our staff. Enjoy cocktails and appetizers while networking with friends and people from all over the state. A generous donation to CWF is also included in the ticket price.

The staff at A Bead of Roses have been busy doing all of the prep work on the lariats so that on the night of the event, if you choose to make it yourself, the hard work will be done for you...all you have to do is attach the pre-wrapped beads and crystals to the leather cord and in 1/2 hr your lariat will be customized to fit you personally. No jewelry making experience is required.

Cocktails and appetizers will be served.

To register for the event and reserve a kit (that will be pre-wrapped to allow you to simply insert it on the leather cord and easily complete in 30 minutes, no previous jewelry design experience is needed) please call 203-304-9264, a $40.00 deposit is required to make a reservation.

The Angel necklace is available in small (42 inches), medium (48 inches) or large (52 inches).  All kits will include 3 yards of leather cord which can then be customized to fit you the night of the event. 

This is a lariat that can be worn 6 different ways: as a lariat, as a double stranded twisted necklace, as a double stranded necklace, as a wrapped bracelet, as a belt and as a long necklace.
