Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue T-Shirt Sales Support Fund

The green T-shirts are available for purchase online through a Danbury-based company.


The Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department normally sports blue shirts. But the department worked with a Danbury-based company to create green T-shirts specially designed to honor the 26 victims of the school shooting, in an effort to raise money for the Sandy Hook School Fund, managed through the United Way and Newtown Savings Bank.

All proceeds from the sale of the shirts — they're $15 each — will be donated to the fund, firefighters confirmed on Monday afternoon while at the firehouse, which is located at the access road to Sandy Hook Elementary School and which served as a shelter for students on the morning of Dec. 14.
